David Grusch, a former intelligence officer in the United States Air Force, has previously said that the US is in possession of extraterrestrial aircraft. In sworn testimony to the US Congress on July 26, 2023, Grusch repeated the same assertions and hinted that the nation could be in possession of extraterrestrial remains.
According to Grusch, the government of the nation engaged in a "multi-decade" program where it gathered crashed unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and made an effort to reverse-engineer them. Until recently, he oversaw the Department of Defense's investigation of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP; the name used by the US government to refer to UFOs).

David's statement about UFO
David said "I don't have any basis to evaluate them, but do some of the details that he's alleging, do they sound plausible? Yeah, sure. They sound plausible, based on what I've seen this government do in other instances. What we learned from the Chinese spy balloon incident is that one part of the government actively concealed it from other parts of the government...because that's what they do all the time"
David closed his statement like this "It is my hope that the revelations we unearth through investigations of the Non-Human Reverse Engineering Programs I have reported will act as an ontological (earth-shattering) shock, a catalyst for a global reassessment of our priorities. As we move forward on this path, we might be poised to enable extraordinary technological progress in a future where our civilization surpasses the current state-of-the-art in propulsion, material science, energy production, and storage. According to a 2022 declassified report from the Office for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) that was published in January, there were 510 UAP sightings altogether, up 366 from the previous year. The bulk of fresh sightings were labeled as "balloon-like entities," while others—like plastic bags or drones—were brushed off as debris. Some of the other 171 sightings that were recorded "appear to have demonstrated unusual flight characteristics or performance capabilities, and require further analysis," the report states. The House Oversight Committee intends to convene hearings to look into UFO allegations in the meantime.
